There were always in me two women. one woman afraid, shy, quiet and adjusting; clinging to security while the other, who lives to the tee, wants to be free. There were always in me two women. One, hushed and trying to be perfect, built from careful decisions and routines. She is the one who hesitates at everything, folds her dreams into drawers everyday. The other woman burns. She does not wait for permission; she is wild and stronger than she thinks, speaks without rehearsing, leaps before looking. She thrives and hungers for unfamiliar, believes in chaos, in passion,dances barefoot in rain, follows her heart. I know what you must be thinking. yes sometimes they do clash, like in some kinda tug of war. Perhaps I am nothing but a product of both, between the safety of the known and the thrill of the unknown, between silence and voice. Where one stays, the other flees. The first one keeps me safe. She teaches me how to be, how to endure and survive. But the second teaches me how to feel, how to burn so brightly that I remember I am alive. They do not hate each other, though they rarely on the same page. But Somehow I always find a way to hold them both, Always find courage to stand in the doorway between them and call it Home. . .
