Formerly known as Hindu Hotel, this place holds a significant place in Kolkata's history for its role during India's freedom struggle and Bengal Famine. This iconic 112-year-old pice hotel serves authentic Bengali cuisine on banana leaves with water in clay pots. The food is fresh, delicious, and rooted in tradition, offering dishes like chitol muithya, pui saak, bhetki paturi and so on. The hotel was frequented by freedom fighters and eminent personalities before independence and was often used for secret meetings.
