Made it to the front page of Bangalore Times @bangalore_times today ✨ Super happy for myself, but even more hopeful for what this could mean for our Indian film industry — especially the Kannada film industry. Over the years, Cannes has evolved so much. The festival has become far more accessible, more welcoming, and has opened its doors wider for industries like ours. And I truly feel this is the moment for us to make a run for it. When people from so many different professional fields are able to participate and narrate elaborate stories behind every garment, every jewel, or anything they are passionate about — then why shouldn’t our filmmakers, our writers, our artists, our brilliant storytellers step onto these global platforms and present the cinematic stories we believe in? Because cinema belongs here too. Our stories belong here too. And beyond the glamour, platforms like Cannes can genuinely open doors to global recognition, international appreciation, collaborations, distribution opportunities, and most importantly — FUNDING for meaningful cinema. Hoping to see more Kannada and Indian films take that leap in the coming years ❤️✨
