🌿🐾 4 Zoos you can visit in Melbourne using PUBLIC TRANSPORT💙 PLEASE READ THE CAPTION FOR MORE INFORMATION 🫶 1. Werribee Open Range Zoo 🦓 Take a Werribee Line train from the city → get down at Werribee Station → hop on Bus 439 (Werribee South) → drops you right near the zoo It’s doable, but compared to places like Melbourne Zoo, it’s a bit of a longer journey with a transfer — still worth it for the safari-style experience 🐘 2. Moonlit Sanctuary 🌙🦘 Take a Frankston Line train → get down at Frankston Station → catch Bus 781/788 towards Hastings → get off at Moonlit Sanctuary stop 👉 It’s NOT directly well-connected by public transport - You can get close-ish via train + bus - But last stretch can be tricky / unreliable 3. Melbourne Zoo 🦁 Easiest one 🙌 Take the Upfield Line train → get down at Royal Park Station → 2 min walk to the zoo OR take Tram 58 → stops right outside 🚫 No complicated transfers (unlike Healesville) 🚆 Frequent trains & trams even on public holidays 4. Healesville Sanctuary 🐨🌿 Take a Lilydale Line train → get down at Lilydale → catch Bus 685 (Healesville) → stops at the sanctuary - Public transport is limited in frequency, especially buses - If you miss one connection, delays can add up - The sanctuary is slightly outside the town, so final access may involve a walk or taxi 💡 Always check PTV timings, especially on weekends & public holidays (trust me on this 😅) #thingstodoinmelbourne #melbournetodo #ptv #melbournesights #visitvictoria
