My Showstopper cake at Cakeology known as - A Bride’s Journey, tells a heartfelt story of the bride's journey through the rituals, emotions, and moments leading to her new life. Each tier symbolizes a phase in this beautiful journey. The second tier captures the intimate moment of Shingaar rass showcasing 5 edible paintings, where a mother lovingly combs her daughter’s hair, with the bride gazing at her in the mirror. It's a delicate pause before the rituals, encapsulating the tender bond between mother and daughter. The third painting shows the bride leaving for the venue. The fourth tier highlights a transition, with the bride now seated with her husband for the wedding rituals. This layer shows her poised and ready, representing the unity and new beginnings shared with her partner. The third tier showcases intricate relief art using royal icing, which can either be seen as the bride’s jewellery or the detailed embroidery on her lehenga, reflecting her adornment and the finery she wears. The fourth tier features a full depiction of the bride’s face adorned in all her jewellery, symbolizing her complete transformation. On the back of this tier, a gate stands tall, representing the entrance to her new home—a metaphor for stepping into a new chapter. The top tier celebrates the grand wedding venue, complete with 3D pillars and gates, echoing the architecture of a traditional wedding setting. This is where her journey culminates in celebration and new beginnings. This venue is made of Pastillage in the form of a diorama which gives it a complete 3D effect. The cake's artistry extends to intricate details like the peach-coloured lehenga, worn by the bride on her Sangeet. This lehanga is a masterpiece, featuring 8 hand-painted kalli's that beautifully depict nature, symbolizing growth, beauty, and freedom. It stands tall on a hand-crafted wafer paper hanger, which mimics the natural flow of twigs and flowers, reinforcing the theme of nature's delicate yet vibrant presence. The latkans of the lehenga are meticulously crafted, incorporating lotus seeds and various motifs that enhance the lehenga’s traditional charm with a touch of elegance. #cakeology2024
