My dearest Tushu, Today is your birthday. On this very day, you came into your mother’s life and filled it with light. And exactly 42 days later, you entered my rough, dry, and scattered life too. 🐾 The day your father brought you home in his arms and placed you in mine, one look into your gentle, soulful eyes was enough for me to understand that you were going to change my life completely. And you truly did. Before you came, my life had neither flow nor purpose. 🌈 You were the one who first made me experience the true meaning of motherhood. What this feeling is really like can only be understood by those who have become “parents” to helpless little souls like you. Because we are the unfortunate ones who have to kiss our own child on the forehead and say a final goodbye. The ones who must silently wipe away endless heartbreak and tears, unseen and unheard. ❤️‍🩹 I may not have carried you in my womb for nine months and given birth to you, but you understand everything about me. Whenever tears fall from my eyes, you understand even before the person beside me does. How many children can do that? Whenever I feel low, I speak to you in my own language, and somehow you understand it all. In your own little way, you try to comfort me. Even though our languages are different, no distance has ever been able to come between us. Then why should I keep relationships with selfish people? Just because I did not give birth to you, no one feels any emotion or excitement for you today. No one even asks, “How is Tushu doing?” One day, I too will become a biological mother. That day, I will quietly laugh inside seeing the concern shown by these same people, and I will think- ‘you may look like humans, but you never truly became humane’. Please forgive them. Just know that your parents never forgave them, and never will. Stay healthy, stay free from illness. May God make the path of your life smooth and beautiful.
