I wish all my foodie friends a very happy, prosperous and safe diwali I'm really happy to celebrate the festival of lights by taking part in gitam cooking club diwali challenge "NOSTALGIC DIARIES " This diwali, I present you all with the tasty authentic combo of telugu vanta: sambar vada😋 Isn't your teeth craving for something crunchy to bite! With very few ingredients, you gonna make such an amazing dish this happy day So let's jump into the recipe part Ingredients: 🌶urad dal - 2 cups 🌶green chilli - 8 🌶onion - 1 large 🌶salt Process: Firstly, Soak your urad dal for minimum 4 hrs. Then it's time to grind the dal along with 7 -8 slit green chillies and some salt to taste(add half cup of water for 2 cups of urad dal also add 2 ice cubes for rich smooth batter). Remeber, the taste of your vada lies in the way you grind your urad dall. So, grind it to very smooth, soft and semi thick batter(not too lose nor too thick). Later add 1 large sliced onion to your vada batter. Mix everything well combined. Now it's time to deep fry your vada Allow some oil to heat in a kadai then drop your batter making a small hole inbetween(you can also use molds for perfect desired shape). Fry it both sides till crisp and brown and drop them on a kitchen towel so that the excess oil will be absorbed. These vada will go really good with sambar which is my favorite and you can have it with your favourite main course.😋🤗 This is my special recipe for dipawali.
