November 12, 2022. If someone asked me about the happiest day of my life, I’d point to this one—the day I wore a Hanbok for the very first time. I remember feeling pure happiness & freedom. I felt so proud of myself! It wasn’t just about wearing the Hanbok..it was about living my dream. I remember how hard I held back tears because, in that moment, I knew the endless hard work and sleepless nights had finally paid off. I used to wonder what a real Hanbok would look and feel like, staring at the sky in my hometown and whispering, “One day, I’ll look at you from Seoul.” And that day, I did. For the first time, I truly felt I deserved that happiness. Tbh, I didn’t share these pictures before because they mean so much to me & i’m not embarrassed to say that I was scared of ‘nazar’. That shadow that always seems to cut my happiest moments short. But now, two years later, I feel ready to share them cz even if ‘nazar’ tries again, I know I can find my way back to that feeling, no matter how hard or how long it takes. This moment will always be my hope, and a reminder that dreams do come true when you believe & fight for them. 🧿
