We headed over to @hardrockholly at Fort Lauderdale, one of the best places to relax coinciding with a cruise. It is one of the best places to continue your vacation, replete with pools and Casinos for the complete experience. Kuro, their modern Japanese restaurant features innovative American Japanese dishes that are full of flavour, combining traditional techniques with contemporary flair. We started off with some Sushi and Wagyu Tacos that were served quite well. The Tacos served with the aioli is a burst of flavour upon the palate. Tuna Tataki was served with a creamy avocado, lime soy and a miso distillate served at a perfect cold temperature for the combination of umami against hints of sweet, salt and tart to explode inside my mouth. Seared Salmon Sashimi was one of our favourites. Bite sized pieces of salmon served with a sweet apple chutney, creamy sesame and Japanese allspice. There is definitely some tempura that we wanted to try out. Although the shrimp tempura served with a key lime and garlic aioli are Crispy, fluffy and a must order.
