He is the one who taught me how to drive my car. He is the one who taught my mother how to drive her car. He is the one who has taught our entire family — anyone who walks into our home, anyone who becomes a part of our lives. From him I learnt: “Mehmaan Bhagwan hota hai.” Maybe that’s why in our house, no one ever leaves without being lovingly fed something — a small plate, a big plate, a snack, a meal… but always with warmth. When I was sick, he was the one who took me to the doctor. He’d always look at me and say: “Bete, mamaji hai na… Tera jo dil kare, kare. Jo banna chahe ban. Mamaji hamesha tere saath hai.” Those words still sit inside my heart like a promise. He has been my strength, my shield, my quiet reassurance in every storm. He is my Himalaya — standing tall for me, standing beside me, and standing against the world whenever I needed him to. Some people protect you with words. Some protect you with actions. Mamaji… he protected me with his entire being.
