Junnu” (also known as colostrum pudding or kharvas in some regions) is a traditional Indian dessert made from the first milk of a cow or buffalo after giving birth. Recipe: In a bowl, combine colostrum milk with regular milk.Add jaggery to the milk mixture and stir until it dissolves completely. Mix in cardamom powder and optional pepper powder.Strain the mixture to remove any lumps or jaggery pieces. Steam it in a idli cooker, steamer, or pressure cooker (without the whistle) for about 20–30 minutes on medium flame. Insert a knife or toothpick to check if it comes out clean. Let it cool down, then refrigerate for a few hours and enjoy it.
