बुमरान ताबूत (जिसे बिमरण मंजूषा भी कहा जाता है) प्राचीन भारतीय इतिहास, बौद्ध धर्म और गांधार कला (Gandhara Art) का एक अद्वितीय और कालजयी नमूना है। पहली शताब्दी ईस्वी (लगभग 1st Century CE) का यह स्वर्ण-पात्र इतिहास की उस खिड़की को खोलता है, जहाँ भारतीय आध्यात्मिकता और ग्रीक (यूनानी) शिल्प कौशल का एक जादुई मिलन हुआ था। शुद्ध सोने से निर्मित इस गोलाकार मंजूषा की ऊँचाई लगभग 6.7 सेंटीमीटर है। इसकी बाहरी दीवारों पर कीमती माणिक (Rubies) जड़े हुए हैं, जो इसकी भव्यता को बढ़ाते हैं। इस ताबूत की सबसे बड़ी विशेषता इस पर उकेरी गई आकृतियाँ हैं। इसमें ग्रीक शैली के मेहराबों (Arches) के नीचे भगवान बुद्ध को खड़े हुए दर्शाया गया है। उनके दोनों ओर हिंदू देवता, ब्रह्मा और इंद्र, अत्यंत श्रद्धा भाव से हाथ जोड़े खड़े दिखाई देते हैं। कला के इतिहास में इस ताबूत का स्थान बेहद सर्वोच्च है। यह मानव इतिहास के उन सबसे शुरुआती प्रमाणों में से एक है, जहाँ भगवान बुद्ध को किसी प्रतीक (जैसे चरण चिह्न य�
