मध्य प्रदेश में जिस असली सांची स्तूप को देखने जाते हैं, उसे उखाड़कर लंदन और पेरिस भेजने की पूरी तैयारी हो चुकी थी? इतिहास का यह पन्ना आज भी 99% लोगों से छुपा है! ​पूरी कहानी और वो ऐतिहासिक ट्विस्ट: ​1️⃣ यूरोप में मची होड़ (1850-1860 के दशक): जब अंग्रेजों और फ्रांसीसियों ने सांची के तोरणद्वारों (Gateways) पर दुनिया की सबसे खूबसूरत नक्काशी देखी, तो उनके मन में लालच आ गया। फ्रांस के सम्राट ने ब्रिटिश सरकार को बाकायदा चिट्ठी लिखी कि वे सांची का सबसे भव्य 'पूर्वी तोरणद्वार' (Eastern Gateway) उखाड़कर पेरिस ले जाना चाहते हैं और इसके बदले मोटी रकम देने को तैयार हैं। अंग्रेज भी इसके लिए लगभग राजी हो चुके थे क्योंकि वे खुद इसे लंदन के 'साउथ केंसिंग्टन म्यूजियम' (अब विक्टोरिया एंड अल्बर्ट म्यूजियम) ले जाना चाहते थे। सांची का स्तूप हमेशा के लिए उजड़ने वाला था। ​2️⃣ भोपाल की बेगमों का ऐतिहासिक 'मास्टरस्ट्रोक': सांची का यह इलाका उस समय भोपाल रियासत के अधीन आता था। जब वहाँ की समझदा
