Metta has followed me for years. A community nickname. A value. A meditation practice. A way of being and mothering. Metta means loving-kindness in Buddhism. A way of moving through the world with softness, patience, and care - for self first, then outward. It’s why I named our home in Costa Rica Casa Metta. Being in Thailand feels like living inside that word. Gentle. Patient. Unrushed. As I step into month 6, I’m letting this softness lead.
