Avakaya Utsav 2026 With the aim of showcasing the glory of Telugu cinema, literature, and arts to the world, the Andhra Pradesh government is organizing the “Avakaya Amaravati Festival,” named after our Telugu people’s favorite dish, “Avakaya,” for three days from January 8th to 10th in Vijayawada, at Bhavani Island and Punnami Ghat. These celebrations are being grandly organized with the intention of showcasing the Telugu artistic heritage to the world. The Avakaya festival aims not only to provide great opportunities for local artists but also to establish Andhra Pradesh as a powerful cultural destination nationwide. The three-day Avakaya festival will include film, literature, music, and dance performances, workshops, heritage walks, ghat ferry rides, and food stalls. Entry to these festivities is free, making them accessible to everyone. The events will take place from 11 AM to 9 PM. Event Details (for Jan 2026): Dates: January 8, 9, 10, 2026.
