One of my primary reason to visit Poland 🇵🇱 Imagine being told you are being taken away for work and instead dehumanised, imprisoned , tortured and thrown into a gas chamber and murdered. Auschwitz- Birkenau was the largest of the German Nazi concentration camps and extermination centres. Between 1.1 and 1.5 million people were killed and 90 percent of them were Jews. Auschwitz is one of the most murderous events in the history of human civilisation. A proof of the Holocaust that happened not so long ago. The Germans deported Jews from all over occupied Europe to extermination camps in Poland, where they were systematically killed, and also to concentration camps, where they were used for forced labor. Seeing the faces of the dead victims in the photos taken during the last few moments of their lives , real human hair , shoes and vessels of the prisoners , grounds where human ashes from the gas chamber were used to pave roads , the Death Wall / The Black Wall where people were shot dead , the gallow where people were hanged .. It was like walking on the largest graveyard known to mankind.
