Another day and more discoveries of this amazing city . The beautiful french concession areas, wukang / Anfu/ Hunan streets, Pudong and many such small sights. Love how tourists are so excited to click their travel memories, young crowd making TikToks and fashion content, and how self care is so important because everyone is so well turned out. Especially the younger generation with their unique fashion choices. But the BEST part ??? How is it that a sprawling metropolis and a densely populated city like Shanghai has maintained cleanliness, traffic and nature ? Traffic but zero honking. No one screaming at each other for cutting their lane or incessantly honking as soon as the traffic lights go green. (No Raja beta screaming “Tujhe pata hai mera baap kaun hai? “) Clean and how. People have respect for their sorroundings. Even the roads outside a grocery store is clean. Even the most touristy areas are clean and have dustbins (which nobody steals) Trees trees and more trees 🌴. Lines of well maintained trees in the heart of the city with beautiful boutiques and cafes around. Makes it so much more special 😍 Even walking around on the promenade and small lanes after dark has been safe as a solo female traveler. And people have been very welcoming and friendly. How is it that they have achieved this and we haven’t ? Because it is the PEOPLE.
