My love for Shimla 🌲 It's hard to explain to anyone what this place means to me, what it makes me feel like. And I am blessed to have found a partner @sandeepdahiya13 who fell in love with the life here too. Shimla carries the best parts of my childhood, the 90s Shahrukh Khan songs, times and memories with family and cousins which flew by, mountain forests that bring back childhood hikes my father took my brother and me on... The summer holidays that were a respite from city and school life - where I never belonged anyway. Then I grew up, and in my adult life I experienced it in a new way with my husband and best friend. We lived here through the Covid lockdown, and I asked myself each day - why couldn't my life have been this way all along. Present each day, grateful for the sunsets, blessed to have the most delicious meals, calm mornings and just so much more mind space to realise how good the every late noon coffee tasted. I ve by passed life in Delhi almost like my soul was in comatose 🥹.... Functioning like an unserviced machine day in and day out, an over stimulated nervous system, a life that refuses to slow down even when I beg it to.
