Comparing them with other kids This slowly makes children feel they are “less” than others . 2. Shouting instead of explaining Fear may silence them, but calm words teach them better . 3. Ignoring their feelings Their “small” problems can feel very big to them . 4. Constantly saying “I’m busy” After a point, kids stop sharing their excitement with parents. 5. Looking at phone while they talk Kids notice when they don’t have your full attention. 6. Making fun of their fears It teaches them to hide emotions instead of expressing them. 7. Breaking promises Even tiny promises build or break trust in a child’s heart . 8. Expecting perfection every time Too much pressure creates anxiety, not confidence. 9. Caring only about marks or results Children need appreciation for effort too. 10. Saying “Because I said so” Explaining things helps children learn respect and understanding. 11. Never apologizing to kids Parents saying “sorry” teaches emotional maturity . 12. Telling them “Stop crying” Children should feel safe expressing emotions . 13. Not spending quality time together Kids remember moments more than money . 14. Ignoring their small achievements That little drawing or dance step may mean everything to them. 15. Showing love only when they behave well Children should never feel they need to “earn” love.
