The Ducati 998 somehow managed to be both 💛 Born in 2002, the 998 was the final chapter of one of motorcycling's greatest stories - the 916/996/998 lineage.  It all started with the original 916, that wasp-waisted silhouette, those underseat exhausts, the single-sided swingarm - nothing looked like it before. By the time the 998 arrived, Ducati knew this platform deserved a proper farewell.  So they kept the iconic bodywork that everyone loved and dropped in a brand new heart - the Testastretta engine, built for sharper, more aggressive performance. That high-compression engine and compact battery meant cold starts could test your patience on a rough morning. But ask any 998 owner and they'll tell you - the moment it fires up and settles into that distinctive Ducati idle, every bit of it is worth it.  That's the thing about artworks like these. They don't make it too easy for you.
