So today we had a bad melt down, not once but twice, the first one was because he was little hungry and started throwing a tantrum before I could make him eat. And there was a huge fuss over eating food. Second was because he was sleepy but didn’t want to sleep, so we are in a phase where he is confused if he should nap or play. Despite of me trying to put him to sleep earlier he didn’t and decided to play. So how we handle it ?? The first time when I knew he was hungry I carried him kept him close to me while I was plating his food, kept talking to him and acknowledging whatever he was telling in anger. I then took him to the balcony showed him the pigeons, told him a few stories about his childhood and then started feeding him once he had calmed down, we also played with his bike and helicopter which really helped. The second time when it came all the things went flying all over the room and I knew it’ll go bad so I went to him carried him he denied sleeping so I told him it’s ok don’t sleep, just sit next to me and I played some music which he likes, and in the next 7 mins he was asleep next to me ✨✨ I’m glad I could handle things in a calm way with him. We first have to channelise ourselves and then channelise our child’s emotions. 💟 I guess waking up early and doing some yoga helped me out today. It’s only when we are quiet and calm will we be able to comfort them. 🤗🤗 {kids emotions, children, tantrums, meltdowns in kids}
