Moms, if making your kids eat ragi feels like a daily battle… try this EASY & CRISPY RAGI PAKORA 🤎 It’s simple, healthy & totally kid-approved! ✨ Why Ragi? Ragi (finger millet) is rich in calcium for strong bones, iron for energy, and fiber for better digestion. It keeps kids fuller for longer and is a great alternative to refined flour snacks. ———————————— 📝 INGREDIENTS: • 2 cups ragi flour • 1 cup rice flour • 2 tbsp gram flour (besan) • 1 small bunch methi (finely chopped) • 2 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped) • 1 medium onion (finely chopped) • 1 tsp grated ginger • Salt as per taste • Green chilli (optional – I skip it for kids) • Water (as required) • Oil for frying (You can adjust flour ratios as per your preference. I add more ragi because my kids are used to its taste.) ———————————— 👩‍🍳 METHOD: 1️⃣ In a bowl, add chopped methi, coriander, onion & grated ginger. 2️⃣ Add salt and let it rest for 3–5 minutes. This helps methi and onion release water naturally. 3️⃣ Now add ragi flour, rice flour & gram flour. 4️⃣ Mix well and slowly add water little by little. 5️⃣ Do NOT make a watery batter. We want a thick batter (as shown in the video consistency). 6️⃣ Heat oil and fry small portions on medium flame until crisp and golden. 👉 You can also air fry them to make them healthier. Since my kids don’t eat fried food regularly, I let them enjoy this once in a while ❤️ ———————————— Serve with green chutney or ketchup.
