
Why do we keep re-reading the same books? Watching the same shows, putting on the same movies, again and again and again? Is it just a comfort mechanism? Or is it about a never ending quest of trying to find something even deeper in the stories you love/admire? Perhaps it’s that. Or maybe it’s just me overthinking, trying to somehow justify picking up Gone Girl by the brilliant @thegillianflynn for the millionth time (after watching its movie adaptation for the billionth time) And that is what stories do, even the dark and twisted ones. They inspire you to look deeper into what feels understandable, they urge you to search for nuances and layers in words that might APPEAR obvious but certainly aren’t.
