What makes Communication Effective FOR YOU? What do you necessarily NEED in a conversation with a person to feel like you WANT to talk more and more with them? For me, if there’s one thing I’ve learned as a Communication Trainer and Public Speaker over the past 10 years, it is the simplicity with which someone can explain even the most complicated points, that is what makes me genuinely curious to communicate further. I see so many people trying to use technical jargon or complex words to sound important. Because, well, that is what you’ve always been told, right? To think complexity equals confidence. But actually it’s the opposite. At least in my opinion. If you have to hide behind big words, you probably don’t know your subject well enough. The real masters are the ones who can take a tricky topic and break it down until even a 12-year-old could understand it. Your job is NOT to impress the audience with your vocabulary. Your job, when communicating is to share an idea with the least amount of confusion possible. Keep it simple. That’s the REAL hardest way to speak. #SpeakBold
