In a horrifying case from Jagatsinghpur, Odisha, a 23-year-old woman was allegedly raped twice by different men within a single day. The victim had left her home on February 22, 2026, to elope with her boyfriend, who instead took her to a secluded spot and raped her. After he abandoned her at a bus stand, a stranger on a motorcycle offered her a lift under the guise of helping. However, he took her to his rented accommodation in Paradip, where he raped her again and subsequently pushed her off the four-storey building, leading to her death. Police have since arrested both the boyfriend and the stranger, booking them under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for kidnapping, rape, and murder.
