It’s moments like these that remind me how photography isn’t just about what you see, but what you feel. ✨ Shanti Stupa in Ladakh is a stunning white-domed Buddhist structure perched atop a hill in Chanspa, offering panoramic views of Leh. It was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura as part of the Peace Pagoda mission, symbolizing peace and unity across cultures. The stupa was inaugurated by the 14th Dalai Lama and holds relics of Buddha enshrined at its base. At 11,841 feet above sea level, Shanti Stupa not only offers spiritual solace but also an unforgettable sunset or sunrise view. Travellers can reach the stupa by road or take the challenging 500-step climb, rewarded with breathtaking views of Leh and the surrounding snow-capped mountains.
