Long weekend Alert! 15th to 18th August Head to Bhandardara - budget destination in Maharashtra Bhandardara is a small little village located around 170 km from Mumbai and 72 km from Nashik in Maharashtra. It is around 44 km after the popular hillstation Igatpuri. Home to Mount Kalsubai (the highest peak in Maharashtra) 5400 metres and nestled amongst the Western Sahyadri Ghats, this little town comes to life during the monsoon season. Places to visit when in Bhandardara are: 🔸Arthur Lake 🔸Randha Falls (Mini Niagara Falls) 🔸Bandhardara Dam 🔸Necklace Falls 🔸Vanrai Falls 🔸Nhani Falls 🔸Nisarg Falls (less crowded) 🔸Kolthembe Falls 🔸Vasundhara Falls (Our favorite) 🔸Amruteshwar Temple (1200 yrs old) You can explore these waterfalls on your own or hire a guide if needed.
