Sun mere Hummus-afar. Clearly, the one thing which hasn't improved in this lockdown is my sense of humor :') Well, however, my amount of recipes somehow seem to have been increased. After opening my fridge at 2am atleast 15 times, every single night for 1 month straight and being dissapointed to look at the lack of food there is :') I finally decided to make myself some hummus and store it in the fridge to enjoy for later. I've been cooking more often in this lockdown, however haven't been documenting much nor posting much too(?). But anyway, here I am, sharing a small recipe of the classic hummus for all those who too feel disappointed and sad when they open their fridge at 2 am to see nothing to snack on :') I've got you ❤️ So, here goes nothing. . ~Ingredients: 1. Chickpeas - half cup(or a handful) 2. Garlic cloves - 2 3. Oil - 1tbsp (I used peanut oil, you can use any cooking oil) 4. Toasted sesame seeds- 1.5 tbsp (or 1tbsp tahini paste, both are more or less the same things.) 5. Cumin powder - half tbsp 6. Salt - around 1tbsp. . ~procedure: 1. Soak the chickpeas overnight in some water and cook them in the morning till soft and mushy and then strain the water out. 2. Put all the ingredients in a blender along with 2-3 tbsp water and blend them to a smooth consitency. 3. That's it, there's no step three. You're done. Enjoy with a plate of crackers, some bread or even some carrots cuz WHY NOT 🤷🏼♂️🥺🥕❤️ Also, I later on realized that I could use the pressure cooker to cook the chickpeas, that saves a lot of time and fuel, so, um, do that rather than cooking them in boiling water. AND GO TRY MAKING YOUR OWN HUMMUS, ITS BEAUTIFUL 🥺❤️ . . . . . . #food #foodblogger #hummus #recipeblogger #foodphoto #punefoodblogger #homecook #homecooking #quarantinecooking #staysafeathome
