A random afternoon— @mitali.sl going through my little knick-knacks, laughing, reminiscing, and indulging me as I excitedly show her my latest finds - dressed like bat woman . Almost like finding a playmate in a new and strange city that is Bombay. Two girlies, soul-searching over a makeshift tea party, when she decides to capture the mess that is my room and the mess that is me. But isn’t that what girlhood is? Finding joy, softness, and rebellion in a world that constantly asks us to be put-together? She has this way of capturing me in my element, in the chaos that surrounds me. And funnily enough, every time my room is too neat, she says she kinda misses the mess. Because girlhood isn’t about perfection. It’s about finding a home in each other—through the mess, the magic, the madness. It’s about creating tiny sanctuaries where we can be our rawest selves, where we don’t owe the world composure.
