BOOK: The Mindful Revival || 4⭐ AUTHOR: Yash Tiwari GENRE: Self-help I have read a dozen self-help books by eminent foreign authors and this book is my first self-help book authored by a young, Indian author. Though the cover of the book screams similarity to every other self-help book out there in the market, "The Mindful Revival" grabs its own special place for its unique writing style, concise structure, and actionable daily activities. Just as the cover illustration says "Habits for lasting Change in 50 Days", this book offers a 50-day challenge to rediscover one's inner strength, resilience, and sense of purpose by cultivating healthy habits, "one at a time". Each chapter is in the form of an interaction with the reader and does not take more than ten minutes of your day. Each task is simple and actionable as a bigger goal is beautifully broken down into tiny tasks to be followed for fifty consecutive days. The book not only helps rebuild one's habits but also enlightens one's physical, social, mental, and spiritual dimension. The analogies with ordinary stationery such as eraser, umbrella, glue, stapler, clock and candle moves your spirit and motivates you to not give up until the 50th day. Though I did feel that the book was repetitive at certain places, I personally loved a few chapters and hence can testify that the book helped me in transforming a reckless routine into a rich routine in fifty days. Readers who love reading fiction, who generally don't prefer reading self-help books will definitely feel entertained, just as much as they feel enlightened. The author has written the book in a poetic manner, stringing together the right words, that one hardly gets bored reading each chapter. I would recommend this book to anyone who aspires to fix their life by coming out of their comfort zone but feels overwhelmed by the vast number of self-help books available in the market. This book offers brilliant step-by-step insights that are not just theoretical but also achievable by minimal everyday effort.
