It wouldn't be wrong to say I grew up on the healthy diet of Satyajit Ray, Rituparno Ghosh, Aparna Sen movies and Uttam Kumar's movies. : While reading Aparna Sen by Devapriya Sanyal published by @rupa_publications, I was thrown into the memory lane again and again.Encountering Meenakshi, Mrinalini,Meethi, Rashmoni, Chaitali and Sarojini in the book felt like greeting old friends after decades.I loved the way, author deciphered the movies, their main theme and the strong opionioned female protagonist. : I still can't forget the way Iti mrinalini, Mr. and Mrs.Iyer and Goynar Baksho left me in a daze. : If you love Aparna Sen as an actor or admired her thought provoking movies that portrayed the bitter realities of the society and the dark side of humans, do read this book.
