And yes, that little one needs your love, comfort, and reassurance right away. 💛 But here’s something we often forget — the child who did the hitting also needs love, sometimes even more. A child who lashes out is not “bad.” They are simply saying, “See me, hold me, don’t forget me.” Hitting is often their way of showing big feelings or a sense of being left out. 👉 Comfort the child who got hurt first. 👉 Then take the hitter aside, hug them, and let them know they are still loved. 👉 Gently guide them toward better ways of asking for attention.
