Why October isn’t the 8th month? . Usually hamein naam se lagta hai ki October is the 8th Month but in real it is not. October is the 10th month of the year as per the Gregorian calender, but it was originally the 8th month as per the Roman Calender. . This time altering change was made in 1582, when two months & 60 days were added to the Roman Calender to align it with sun movements. . March used to be the first month for Roman Calender but a result of Gregorian Correction, we have January & February! .
