Freedom is what gives me the greatest sense of empowerment. True empowerment comes from having the freedom to make my own choices. For women, however, this has always been complicated. Being able to do what I want—without causing harm—without limitations solely based on my gender. Also, when I am able to stand up for myself, or when my opinions are not only heard but also valued at home and at work.
