Packed my bags once again — but this time, I wasn’t alone. Dubai has been my home for more than 25 years. And though I’ve moved countries before and always found my way back :). For a while, our little family was split across two countries. I was in Dubai with our daughter, Nitesh was in Oman for work. We made it work — because you do what you have to do. But when he moved to Bali, something in us both said — enough of the distance. It’s time. So he went first and then we followed. I packed up a few bags and held my toddler’s hand through security, and we flew toward him. The hardest part? Watching her say goodbye to her baba (elder brother) and her family with the biggest smile on her face. No tears, no weight, just a little hug— completely unaware she wouldn’t see them for months. I held it together. Barely. 🥺 But then we landed. And she saw her Papa. And just like that, we were three again — finally, properly, three. 🌴 Dubai, you’re never a goodbye. You’re a see you soon.
