
Ice bath is said for have amazing recovery effects for athletes reducing muscle soreness and inflammation, speeding up recovery after intense exercise, boosting mood by increasing dopamine, improving mental resilience to stress but is it suitable for women? Woman’s hormones (especially cortisol) is triggered while taking ice baths (if done wrong and taken when not necessary) also your body and mind needs to be ready to take such extreme temperatures on your body and it’s not totally ideal for a woman experiencing hormonal changes, to take ice baths often.
