Europe has many beautiful places… but this one genuinely made me pause. Plitvice Lakes National Park looks like something out of a fairytale — turquoise lakes, waterfalls everywhere, and wooden boardwalks floating over crystal-clear water. It’s one of the most magical places I saw during my Europe trip and honestly… Croatia surprised me the most. If you’re planning Europe, don’t skip this place. ⏰ Opening hours The park is open all year, usually around 7 AM – 7 PM in summer (timings change slightly by season). 🎟 Entry fee Around €23–€40 depending on season (cheaper in winter). 📍 How to reach From Split • 2.5–3 hour drive • Direct buses available daily From Zagreb • 2–2.5 hour drive or bus From Zadar • Around 1.5–2 hours drive Most people visit it as a day trip from Split or Zagreb. 💡 Tip: Go early morning (before 9 AM) or late afternoon to avoid crowds. If you’re planning a Europe trip from India, I’m slowly sharing all my routes, budgets and hidden places from my trip. Follow me @discoverwithanisha and save this for later. ✨
