2016. Second year at NIFT Delhi. Where it all quietly began. A first photoshoot, starting a small blog with a friend, attending a first fashion week and settling into the everyday rhythm of college life. Every morning meant rushing for the Delhi Metro, an hour-long journey to college and then back home, listening to music on repeat with favourite earphones in 🤭. Those metro rides became the best part of the day. Just music, thoughts, and the feeling of being completely present in that moment. Days were spent juggling projects, submissions, and juries, followed by sleepless nights that often blurred into early mornings. There were weird filters, bold lipsticks that did not always make sense, and somewhere in all that chaos, holding a first DSLR 🤍 Even a hair-colour experiment that did not turn out well became a quiet lesson, one that never needed repeating 🙈. It was a phase of trial and error, learning slowly, and growing through moments of self-doubt. We tend to romanticise the past, but like Gabriel says in Emily in Paris, “Every time you think something was perfect, you forget how hard it actually was.” That phase came with its own setbacks, uncertainties, and lessons that only became clear with time 🤍. The present has its challenges too, but it is beautiful in its own way ✨🤍 [throwback, 2016, nostalgia, niftdelhi, collegedays]
