Growing up, I rarely questioned what was served on my plate. If something was labelled as “good” or “bad” for health, I accepted it without thinking twice. But over time, I’ve realised that many of our beliefs about food and nutrition come from things we’ve heard repeatedly, not always from truly understanding them. The whole “good oil vs bad oil” conversation made me pause and think — maybe food isn’t meant to be viewed in black-and-white categories. Maybe it’s more about balance, context, and how much we consume over time. Still learning and unlearning, one ingredient at a time… and lately, that journey has made me look at palm oil differently. Tell me, what’s one food belief you grew up with that you’ve started questioning? #FoodForThought #MindfulEating
