If you thought Puri, Odisha is all about traditional food, here is 5 offbeat eateries that will prove you wrong. #1 Wildgrass Seafood Restaurant - This place docked amidst a lush green Ambience on CT Road is a no-miss place. Love their authentic Odiya dishes. But am swayed by their Tandoori Seafood platter comprising of Tandoori Pomfret, Crab Tikka, Hariyali Machchhi and Reshmi Jhinga. #2 Chung Wah - Missing Chinese typically Tangra style, here is Chung wah - a favourite over years located on the VIP road. My pick would be Tempura Prawns tossed in Sauces, The Mixed Noodles Gravy and a Mandarin Cooler. #3 Cafe Conki - Cafe Conki was a real surprise! Located very close to the beach near Balipanda, it’s a wonderful place to hang out on evening dates over a good coffee. Don’t miss on the Chicken sizzler and the softest brownie with a dollop of icecream and drizzled with chocolate sauce. #4 The Fisherman’s Kitchen - A panacea eatery. Palatable multi cuisine, good music and amazing staff. Must visit if you’re in Puri, Swargadwar . The Sea food pizza and Sandwiches shouldn’t go amiss. #5 Honey Bee - Best place to have sumptuous food. One of the only places in Puri to have pancakes, crepes. The rooftop sitting area reminds me of one of the places in Pondicherry. The hand pulled woodfire pizzas and breakfast platters make me pay an annual visit whenever in Puri. Now don’t blame Puri for just having Swargadwar in the evenings.
