2016! When I saw the trend, I didn’t quite want to take the effort to find old photos from my hard disk. But when I did so, I realised that 2016 was a year that began to shape me for who I am today. Guru Gopikrishna national award in Bharatanatyam - It started my journey into dance festivals in different parts of the country. Thank you Ratheesh sir and @aida_1648. It was the year Edavappaathy released. A heavy throat and grief is all I have when I speak about this film. I won the Kerala Film Critics Association award. Working along with actors like Manisha Koirala and G Venkatram has been little blessings. I graduated with M.A Communication that year. I directed my second short film - 9th month. I delved deeper into dance and did my first Margam during the Margazhi season in Chennai. I conducted my first dance workshop in UAE. I did a lot of ad shoots and my face was on the cover of so many magazines. I moved to Mumbai, made friends and figured how difficult it is to live an adult life. @harsha_ambady 😘 I had Momo- my cocker spaniel. I had Amma, Acha and Ammuma always cheering for me. . . I thought 2016 was just another year, but sometimes when we look back, we remember how far we have come… Thanks to whoever started this trend. It took me on a trip back to one of those beautiful years.
