This lockdown has opened so many hearts, taught us the meaning of the word ‘Essential’ and made us realise all human beings can perform all house-hold activities irrespective of however privileged one might be. . I would like to share with you guys how I have seen my father do some of the tasks in the kitchen like washing utensils, helping my Mom cook and be equally involved in procuring food items. This not only relieves my mother from extra work without domestic help but also keeps my father’s mind engaged in a situation where he feels restricted to step out and live his normal life. . I think this lockdown has proved that home tasks have no bias towards any gender and the food won’t magically appear on your plate just because you are a guy.
