Subhadip's Post

A small village named Iraq al-Amir, located on the outskirts of Amman, #Jordan, has a small stone castle called Qasr al-Abd surrounded by Olive gardens. This was built by Hyrcanus of Jerusalem, who was a Tobiad, a Jewish dynasty. This castle remained incomplete after his sudden death and was severely damaged in the 363 AD earthquake that had struck this region for two days in a row. Apart from the castle, there are some stone cave tombs of the Tobiads.
