Short Story : Renting in Delhi as a female is honestly a full time personality test I never signed up for. Good, safe, clean areas cost a kidney, and the moment you say “I have a pet”, Delhi landlords look at you like you’re bringing in a mini dinosaur. I’ve rejected at least ten houses because the vibe wasn’t it. I need a space that works for living and creating content. But the moment they hear about my tiny baby pet, I get rejected twice as fast. Like babes… he literally sleeps 18 hours a day. The whole cycle is exhausting. And sometimes I genuinely wonder if Delhi is worth the emotional damage anymore. But for now, my family and I feel settled where we are, so I’ll keep hunting until something finally clicks. Manifesting a decent house and a sane landlord at this point. Also, before you leave, don’t skip your sunscreen. The @mywishcare one is affordable, works better than half the Korean ones I’ve tried, and it’s made in India for our weather and our skin.
