COLOMBO → SIGIRIYA, UNFILTERED. 🎒🇱🇰 I love a good luxury escape… but sometimes the real upgrade is a backpack, a platform ticket, and a hostel common table. This reel is my induction into backpacking—led by maestro Joshua (@lifeunfilm): pro backpacker, pro-er cinematographer, mostly behind the cam + co-brain on a backpacking content idea we might launch. 👀🎥 If you land in Colombo and feel like backpacking, here’s the play: 1) Grab a local SIM + cash 2) Hit Colombo Fort / Pettah 3) Take the train + bus. Comfort is nice… but stories live in the chaos between A & B. 4) Go spontaneous toward Sigiriya. Bonus level: SELF-DRIVE tuk-tuk 🛺 We did most of our local travel in one. You can hire in Colombo/Negombo/CMB airport areas via services like TukTuk Rental, Holiday Tuk Tuk or TukTuk Drive (license + deposit, then freedom).
