8 REALISTIC lessons of LOVE to be noted :- . 1. First, look inward : Rather than looking for the perfect partner... BE the perfect partner. You'll never be a 10/10, but strive to be a 9.9/10. Or else, don't waste another soul's time and love. . 2. Relationships should NOT feel like work : Relationships require nurturing, respect and time. But never effort. If it feels like effort, it may not last. 3. Friendship : Physical attraction, sexual attraction and even intellectual attraction fade eventually. Relationships that begin as FIERY, often break. Fire doesn't last, friendships do. 4. Communicate : Most men cannot pick up on signals and expectations. Most women cannot come to terms with how childish men can be at times. This gap of genders has to be bridged through talking and listening. 5. Work talk : Most of your life will be spent in your office. Most of your brain will be filled with thoughts about your job. You should be able to talk about your work to your partner. If they aren't ready to listen (or at least don't make an effort to listen), you might have a problem. 6. The Bros test : If you don't enjoy the company of their friends, your relationship may not last. People hang out with others of the same nature. You may be attracted to your partner. But attraction fades. You will only love them in the long term if you fit in as a friend in their life. If you can be friends with their friends, you have a good chance at lasting. 7. Golden rule : Loyalty doesn't just break when you get physical with someone who is not your partner. Loyalty breaks when you begin lying to them. Honesty is the single biggest pillar that holds up the walls of a solid relationship. If you're going to lie to them, set them free. Lying to someone who loves you is one of the biggest human crimes. It will come back to bite you. 8. Respect yourself : Your relationship should be a PART of your world. Not your entire world. Get to know your partner gradually. Give them pieces of yourself gradually. The most successful relationships are the ones where love grows over time. A carefully built castle is a STRONG castle. Keep loving, keep learning, keep believing. ♥
