Telegram CEO Pavel Durov criticised India’s temporary Telegram ban ahead of the NEET-UG re-exam, saying it punishes 150M+ regular users instead of the people who actually leaked exam material. He also claimed the ban “hasn’t stopped anything” because leaks simply moved to other apps. The government reportedly blocked Telegram till June 22 after concerns that the app was being used by cheating rackets to defraud NEET candidates. Telegram has also challenged the order in court, according to reports.
