Yesterday, I had one of the most heartwarming experiences 🥹🤌🏻 at a street school through the NGO I’m currently working with. Spending time with the children there truly made my day. We taught them academic lessons, helped them with basic concepts, and turned learning into something fun and exciting. We played football together, taught them how to draw and colour, and even conducted a small test but in such a playful way that they thought it was just another game. Little did they know, they were learning and growing through every activity. We also got to see the area where they live. Most of the families were staying in temporary tents rather than proper houses. There were plastic dumps nearby, and just behind the settlement, there was organic farming land. The contrast was striking. Yet, what stood out the most wasn’t the circumstances, it was their spirit🥹📈. Despite living without proper shelter, consistent access to education, or basic comforts, they were incredibly happy, welcoming, and full of life. Every child had their own interests, their own dreams, their own fears and yet they were equally excited to learn, to play, and to explore. Their enthusiasm was pure and contagious. Seeing their smiles, curiosity, and energy reminded me why such initiatives matter so much. More than teaching them, I think they taught us something, gratitude, resilience, and the power of joy even in the simplest moments. I’m so grateful I got to be a part of this. 💛
