🗳️📜: Congress Leader Jakir Hussain Sikdar Takes Oath As MLA For Third Consecutive Term In Assam Assembly 👇🏻 Read More: Senior Congress leader Jakir Hussain Sikdar officially took oath today as a member of the 16th Assam Legislative Assembly during the inaugural session held in Dispur, Guwahati. This marks Sikdar’s third consecutive term as an MLA. After previously representing the Sarukhetri constituency in 2016 and 2021, he contested from the newly formed Pakabetbari constituency in the 2026 Assam Assembly elections and secured a massive victory. According to election data, Jakir Hussain Sikdar won the Pakabetbari seat with over 1.57 lakh votes, defeating AIUDF candidate Minakshi Rahman by a margin of more than 65,000 votes.
