My 2016 post would mark 10+2 years of witnessing Soumya go through 2873 different metamorphosis phases, the one where she learned everything about stocks, the other one about skincare, one where she decided she will send me pictures of each time she got a paper cut, the phase where she had a cook book and went to baking classes, multiple weeks of complaining about work with ‘kutta bana pada hai mera toh behn kutta’ — eating corn topping pizza and calling her limited list of favourite foods like dal makhni from that home town restaurant yummy and 3 years later eating lettuce as naan. She is the first one I tell about my wins, she is also the first one to know about life shattering news, she is the last one to not check up on me. She has done everything she said ‘I don’t think I can’ to, she gets me, we care and don’t care about the same things most of the times. Now that there are 25 days till she is getting married, I am overwhelmed by the fact that we know the moment we both realised what love should actually look like. We made it bro, behn, biwi. Getting all my clothes, love, prayers, elder sister energy & dance moves stitched together for your big day. I didn’t need ChatGpt for this message, some tissues for sure.
